When giving a hesped, is there any hakpodoh in MA to give it in Yiddish? Is English also okay?

At the beginning of the 19th century, the Rabbonim in Germany were very much opposed to using the German language. By learning German, one could be exposed to the writings and philosophy of the gentiles, and the Rabbonim didn't want this Nisoyon. Therefore they put an Issur on the German language, and Hespeidim and Droshos etc. were not to be given in German (but only in Jewish languages).
Later the Rabbonim saw that they were loosing the youth by not speaking German, therefore they withdrew from the Issur, and Droshos, Hespeidim, writings etc. were done in German too. (Rav Hirsch was one of the biggest writers of Torah in German).
English would be the same as German, and nowadays there wouldn't be a problem giving Droshos or Hespeidim in English.
