Kaddish Between Shir Shel Yom and Shir Mizmor L'Osof was created by rallisw
I understand that Nusach Ashkenaz is particular about not reciting more Kaddeishim than necessary. Is there a Kaddish recited between the Yom and Shir Mizmor L'Osof?

There is a Halocho brought by the משנה ברורה (in siman נה se'if koton א, and the source is from the book כנסת הגדולה), that one should not say many Kaddishim.
For this reason, one "ovel" doesn't say more than one Kaddish at the end of the davening.
Therefore, even though according to minhag Ashkenaz there is a Kaddish both after Shir Shel Yom, and after Shir Mizmor L'Osof, they are each said by different people, and if there is only one ovel - he says only one Kaddish (the last one).
