Brocho on Rice

Acoroding to Minhag Ashkenaz, what is the correct brocho on rice? The Maharil (הל' אפיית המצות אות א) translates אורז as "Hirse" and דוחן as "Rice" - that would imply that the brocho on rice should be ha'adomoh (the Mishno Beruro says that those who say to make mezonos translate אורז as "rice", as per the Gr'o, who differs with the Maharil.)
