What is the source for singing Shir Hama'alos Ashrei etc. at the end of the Chupah?

The source of Shir Hama'alos at the Chuppoh is Rav Hirsch. All of our Chuppoh songs are from that time (including Hori'u in English Chuppos). The only ancient melody we have for the Chuppoh etc. is the Mein melody (which Vayislu is Homon is based on).
