Fasting before bar mitzva was created by Goldmeier
What is the yekkishe minhag of a bachur fasting before bar mitzva? The common minhag (I think) is that boys fast 3 taaneisim before bar mitzva. Is that also the yekkishe minhag?

Actually the Minhag you mentioned is the Minhag which was practiced by the Yekkies in the recent generations, when the Eastern European Minhag was not to fast at all before Bar Mitzvoh.

Rav Hamburger says that it seems to be a compromise between the different Shitos of the Poskim.
