leining the megillah נוצר על ידי Daniel

What is the Minhag in regard to the Ba'al Koreh repeating the words laharog/V'laharog, and Lifneihem/Bifneihem? Should it be done? Should the entire pasuk be repeatet or only the word/phrase. I have been told that Mordechai Breuer (who compiled the Aram Tzova) felt that historically laharog and bifneihem are erroneous.

Since the Aram Tzova has no mesorah in the true sense of the word, being that its text was not followed in its own community (as no Syrian Tanach or Sefer Torah follows the text of the Aram Tzova), I do not think that the Aram Tzova can have any bearing on the discussion.

Mordechai Breuer claimed that the changes were done by mumorim, but the experts today have proved that these nuscha'os are ancient and were not work of mumorim. Therefore, a kehilloh which has the minhog to go over these words should continue doing so. In addition - even if there is no point in saying Bifneihem, no harm is done by saying it, but if it should been said and is not said - one was not Yotse the Megilloh. A kehilloh that has the minhog to say both options definitely should continue it.

Benno Weis says both Bifneihem and Lifneihem, but says only "Velaharog".
