What is the Minhag regarding women reciting birchas hagomel? It would appear from most poskim (Mishnah Berurah, Aruch Hashulchan, among other poskim) that they should (and it makes sense - to me), but R' Shlomo Zalman says that Ashkenaz women, generally (except for extenuating circumstances) do not.

Woman do not say Hagomel because of Tznius. What she can do is to hear her husband getting an Aliyoh, and to answer Omen on his Brocho (and the husband should have Kavono to be Motzi her). See more about it in Shorshei Minhag Ashkenaz (part 1) in the chapter about יציאת היולדת.
