Does anyone know of any specific German customs related to Hoshanna Rabbah?
Do German Jews have a special seudah on this day with kreplach or stuffed cabbage?
My grandmother seemed to recall that her family had stuffed cabbage on Shemini Atzeres, not HR.

There isn't too much about this issue in the old sources. Some people used to eat Kreplach and/or cabbage on Hoshana Rabbo. There were some who claimed that on Hoshana Rabbo one should eat cabbage because we say קול מבשר מבשר ואומר, (and in German "Kohl" is cabbage), but R' Yonah Merzbach ZT'L did not hold of these Minhogim.
