Selichos when one cannot get an Ashkenaz version was created by GBaum
If I can not get Nusach Askenaz slichot, which slichot is better to say, nusach Lita or nusach Polin, according to minhag Ashkenaz?

Lita is on balance more similar to Ashkenaz, insofar as it retained Chotonu selichos from Erev Rosh Hashanah onwards, as well as keeping the Akeida selichos before the Pizmon.

Rav Hamburger told me that although this is a point of similarity, it may not be significant enough, therefore one could go to a place he feels more his'orerus.
