May one cook kitniyos in one's Pesach keilim before pesach begins?

I have the same question. Rabbi Shimon Eider A"H, (page 373, Halachos of Pesach) writes, "Practical suggestions...Prepare a chulent of meat and potatoes...for Ashkenazim - no beans - which are kitniyos..." Although this implies that one is not allowed to cook kitniyos in Pesach keilim, I do not know why not. The footnote says to look in Kaf Hachayim, 453 #27.

I'd like to add to the question. Since if Pesach Keilim do get used for Kitniyos there is no need for Hagolo (even if this happens on Pesach itself), and you can use the keilim again for Pesach after 24 hours, so why not use Pesach keilim before Pesach.
I asked HaRav Gans Shlita and he answered that the Maharam Shik brings that this was a Minhag that has been accepted also, not to use Pesach Keilim for Kitniyos at all.
