Hi,

I'm searching for some traditional German food to make for Shabbos.

I came across a recipe for berches, which includes a potato. Can one still make hamotzi on this?

Also, can anyone recommend more authentic recipes for Shabbos? Meat, salads, side dishes, desserts?
